Jewelry designer Björn Weckström has had a strong calling as a sculptor since a very young age, which is also evident in his jewelry. The revolutionary and distinctive shaping made him an international sensation already in the 1960s.
 

Weckström's jewelry can be seen as miniature sculptures, to which their wearer gives a human background. Weckström has drawn inspiration for his jewelry designs from ancient myths, the northern nature, literature, movies, art, and his own life experiences. His pieces carry a strong narrative dimension, and at times, such as in silver jewelry featuring human figures, they invite the wearer to step into a completely new dimension, becoming a part of the jewelry itself.
